Title: Dangerous Liaisons
Fandom: Jericho
Rating: General
Words: 1440
Summary: Kansas, 1861: with one half of the country set against the other, these are dangerous times. But risks must be run if the Cause is to be advanced. Written for the
cliche_bingo prompt "Historical AU".
Disclaimer: These stories are based on the Junction Entertainment/Fixed Mark Productions/CBS Paramount Television series Jericho. They were written for entertainment only; the author does not profit from them nor was any infringement of copyright intended.
Author's Note: I have tried to make this as historically accurate as possible given a) Kansas may have sided with the Union, but a Confederate major and his forces almost certainly never occupied a town in Western Kansas and b) I'm not an American, so my knowledge of this particular Civil War is somewhat sketchy and c) I've probably watched Gone With the Wind either one too many times or one too few.... Also: this was so much fun, I may have to write a novel-length historical AU one day.
