Thank you! I like seeing scared-but-determined Heather, too. *g* I like her heroism because it clearly doesn't come "easily" to her, although it is very much a consistent trait in her from the moment we meet her on the bus.
And I'm so glad to hear the scene with her executioner worked - I think that means I succeeded in putting you enough inside Heather's head that you were there with her thinking she was going to die. That was a pretty intense scene to write!
And thank you again for the lovely graphics - they've really made this story extra special for me.
