I think "doing the right thing" has always been important to him, but doubly so now.
I think this is an very insightful assessment of his character. And I also think that now that he's had it proven to him that he was following a corrupt government (although I sooo need to rewatch season 2 to figure out just what the "government" knew and what "others" knew...) "doing the right thing" will be incredibly important to him.
There's a plotbunny in my plotbunny pen labeled "Beck and Heather: late night conversations over Scotch". Because yes, he does!

I did - I don't think I mentioned it specifically in my feedback, though which was a major oversight... Anyway, anytime two (or more) alpha males share scenes, they're always riveting...I don't remember Hawkins/Jake/Beck sharing any scenes, but I would have loved, loved, LOVED to have had those three and Heather on screen together...the chemistry would have set my TV on fire. :)
Seriously - except for the fact that I love Stanley and Mimi with all my heart - if the Jericho movie only had those four characters in it all the time, I would be a very happy woman. :)
